Our Technical Staff
Suzanne Biddle
Suzanne is a registered veterinary technician (RVT). She is a graduate of the Veterinary Technology Program at Purdue University (1996). Suzanne has worked in general practice prior to joining the surgery department at Veterinary Specialty Center in 1998. She moved to the medicine department at it's inception in 2004 and still assists in both medicine and ICU. She is also one of our two primary technicians in oncology.
Brandon Hoff
Brandon is a RKC ..."registered kennel cleaner". He is our Mister Everything, official Jack-of-all-Trades, and we love him for it.
Amanda Inman
Amanda is currently a 4th year pre-veterinary biology student at IUPUI with the ultimate goal of becoming a veterinary emergency medicine and critical care specialist. Prior to joining Veterinary Specialty Center, she has worked in general and emergency practices since the age of 18. Amanda assists in medicine and ICU.
Alisha Jones
Alisha worked in general practice for 6 years as a technician. She joined Veterinary Specialty Center in January 2005. Alisha currently assists in surgery, medicine, ICU and radiology.
Michelle Koelsch
Michelle is a certified veterinary technician (CVT). She is a graduate of Ball State University (B.S. 1998) and Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology (A.A.S. 2002). Michelle has worked in general and specialty practice primarily as a surgical technician before joining Veterinary Specialty Center in April 2006. She currently assists in surgery, medicine, ICU and radiology.
Amanda Leach Laney
Amanda is a registered veterinary technician (RVT). She is a graduate of the Veterinary Technology Program at Purdue University (B.S. 2005, A.S. 2004). She joined Veterinary Specialty Center first for her bachelor's "practicum" and continued working with us after her graduation. Amanda assists in surgery, medicine and ICU. Currently, Amanda is our primary radiology and CT technician.
Dawn May
Dawn worked in general practice for 11 years before joining Veterinary Specialty Center in 1998. She currently works as the primary surgery technician.
Kristy Mayes
Kristy worked in general practice for 18 years as a technician. She joined Veterinary Specialty Center in October 2005. She currently assists in the surgery department.
Helene Pannwitz
Helene has worked at Veterinary Specialty Center in both the surgery and medicine departments. She is now focused primarily on overnight care in the ICU unit. She has previously assisted in a general practice during high school. After studying Animal Science and German at Andrews University, she began working in general practice again before joining our staff in 2006.
Kiyoko Robertson
Kiyoko is a registered veterinary technician (RVT). She is a graduate of Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology (A.A.S 2002). Prior to joining Veterinary Specialty Center she worked in general practice. Kiyoko assists in medicine and ICU. She is also one of our two primary oncology technicians.
Juli Smith
Juli is a registered veterinary technician (RVT) and is certified in the specialty of emergency and critical care by the Academy of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Technicians (1998). She is a graduate of the Veterinary Technology Program at Purdue University (1993). Juli worked in the intensive care unit (ICU) for small animals at the teaching hospital for 7 years after graduation. She is now working full-time at Veterinary Specialty Center as our primary ICU technician as well as assisting the medicine clinicians.
Lisa Resnik
Lisa came to us with extensive veterinary experience having been in general practice for 18 years. She began working at Veterinary Specialty Center in 2005. Lisa currently works in the intensive care unit monitoring our patients overnight.
Our Reception Staff
Debbie Beals
Debbie is one of our customer service and reception team. Prior to working with Veterinary Specialty Center, Debbie gained animal experience through work with a local Humane Society. She has been with the VSC reception staff for approximately 10 years.
Angela Leisure
Angie is one of our customer service and reception team. Her veterinary experience has largely been gained here with Veterinary Specialty Center. She has been with us for 3 years and has begun to focus primarily on reception duties for the surgical service. However, she is happy and eager to help with any service.
Jessica Plummer
Jessica is one of our customer service and reception team. Prior to joining the staff of Veterinary Specialty Center, Jessica worked for 3 years as an assistant in general veterinary practice. She has been working at VSC for approximately 1 year. Although she is primarily focused on the medicine service reception duties, Jessica is happy to assist with both medicine and surgery reception when needed.
Beverly Terry
Beverly is one of our customer service and reception team. She has worked in veterinary medicine and at Veterinary Specialty Center for approximately 7 years. In addition to customer service and reception, she also assists with inventory and purchasing for the clinic.
Sarah Westerfield
Sarah is one of our customer service and reception team. She has over 8 years of experience in the veterinary field. She is one of our newest team members having joined our staff approximately 6 months ago. She is quickly becoming an asset to both the medicine and surgical services.
